Hi, I’m Jasey, a Senior Boettcher Scholar studying engineering at CU Boulder with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Creative Technology and Design. I am a passionate designer-creator and love diving into a new project. Whether it’s writing code for non-profits, building robots, running businesses, or sewing LED dresses, I love taking an idea and turning it into reality. In college my attention has turned to environmental tech and tech for social good. I recently worked as an Android development intern for OnX Maps on their Routing and Navigation team. I credit many of my strengths to being dyslexic. While learning to read was challenging, dyslexia gave me skills like visualizing my projects in 3D, seeing the big picture and entrepreneurship. (Did you know one third of all entrepreneurs and half of NASA employees are dyslexic?) I’m also a Colorado mountain girl and love being outdoors hiking, telemark skiing and backpacking.
